We are raising funds to support the rebuilding of kibbutz Be’eri, which was among the most impacted of the communities devastated by the 7 October Hamas terror attack. Over 120 of its residents were violently murdered including Australian Galit Carbone, and others taken hostage. The terrorists left behind a devastation of unimaginable scale – with many of its houses and buildings burnt down and its infrastructure in ruins.
Be’eri is a special community and one of Israel’s most successful and iconic kibbutzim, known for its thriving print factory and cultural scene. Be’eri has a strong Australian connection, with several Australian families among its members, and is frequently visited by Australian Jewish tour groups, who enjoy meals in its communal dining room and often visit the ANZAC memorial outside its gate.
The Be’eri community is determined to rebuild and repair their kibbutz – but this will be an enormous effort and will require significant financial support.
This fund will be part of that effort.
We thank you for your generosity from the bottom of our hearts.
